CD/ Concert Ticket Bundle FAQ

As a special offer, Metallica online ticket purchasers are entitled to receive one copy of Metallica’s new album 'DEATH MAGNETIC' for each ticket ordered.

This promotion is for all ONLINE ticket orders for the ’08-’09 Headline US tour. It is not applicable to walk-up ticket purchases or to orders placed over the phone.

How do I do redeem my Death Magnetic CD?

Step 1: You will receive ONE e-mail from your online ticket seller containing one special code for EACH ticket you purchased.

Step 2: Once you have your code(s), please go HERE to enter it along with the address at which you would like to receive your Death Magnetic CD.

  • Please note: If you have more than one (1) code you can place up to four (4) codes in one order, BUT all the CDs will be shipped to the same location.
  • If you have more than one (1) code and would like the CD’s to ship to different locations create separate orders to the URL above.
  • Just a reminder: The address you enter CANNOT be changed, and any errors in the address as entered will result in delayed delivery of the CD.

Step 3: SHIPPING:

  • Priority shipping was already included with your “Death Magnetic” CD so all orders placed by September 8TH will be received on or around September 12th
  • If you would like to track you shipping please select one of the following shipping options when you redeem you CD(s).
  • Upgrade Shipping Options:
  • For an additional $9.99 per order you can upgrade your shipping to Priority Overnight Delivery.
  • For an additional $24.99 per order you can upgrade your shipping to Priority Overnight – Saturday Delivery.
  • All orders for shipment upgrades must be completed within 1 hour of redeeming your code. Note: upgraded shipping is NOT available to P.O. Boxes or military addresses.
  • Please note: If you upgrade your upgraded to UPS Next Day Air® the earliest you would receive your CD will still be September 12th. Note also that UPS Next Day Air® is NOT available to P.O. Boxes or military addresses.

Step 4: If you decided to UPGRADE to overnight delivery continue with the regular purchase process.

How long will it take, after my online ticket purchase, for me to receive the e-mail with my CD redemption code?

Please allow 24-48 hours to receive your Ticketmaster e-mail containing your codes. After 48 hours, if you have still not received your e-mail from Ticketmaster, please contact info@missionmetallica.com

If you bought tickets to the Iowa Events Center (Wells Fargo) in Des Moines, the Wachovia Center in Philadelphia, or the Rose Quarter in Portland - your CD redemption instructions email will come from New Era Tickets within 24 hours. It will contain your special code(s) and a link to a page where you can get your Death Magnetic CD. For example, if you buy 4 tickets, you'll receive 1 email with 4 codes.

If you bought tickets to the Toyota Center in Houston, the CD redemption instruction email will come from the venue within 24 hours. If you purchased multiple tickets, your email will contain the corresponding number of codes. For example, if you buy 4 tickets, you'll receive 1 email with 4 codes.

If you bought tickets to the BOK Center in Tulsa, the CD redemption instruction email will come from Tickets.com within 48 hours. Note: you will receive a separate email for each ticket you purchased. For example, if you buy 4 tickets, you'll receive 4 separate emails, each email will contain 1 special code.

I bought more than one ticket… do I get more than one CD?

YES! You will receive an e-mail from Ticketmaster with a special code to get a ‘Death Magnetic’ CD for EVERY ticket you purchased

I will be getting more than one CD and I would like to ship them to the same location.

If you have more than one (1) code you can place up to four (4) codes in one order, and all the CDs will be shipped to the same location.

I will be getting more than one CD and I would like to ship them to different locations.

If you have more than one (1) code and would like the CDs to ship to different locations, be sure to create separate orders to the URL above, rather than entering them all at once.

I did not receive my email with my ‘Death Magnetic’ CD redemption code(s). How can I get my code(s)?

If you bought a ticket to the concert from Ticketmaster and have not received the email containing your CD redemption code within 48 hours, please check your spam folder. If it’s not there, please contact Ticketmaster at http://www.ticketmaster.com/help.

And if you bought tickets to these non-Ticketmaster shows, you can go to the customer service number / email next to your city and venue.

I received my e-mail with my ‘Death Magnetic’ CD redemption code, but my code is not valid. How do I get a valid code?

If you have attempted to use your ‘Death Magnetic’ CD redemption code and you are receiving an error message that your code is not valid, please contact info@missionmetallica.com and we will provide you a new code.

To confirm your ticket purchase, please provide your e-mail address, your ticket order confirmation number, and the invalid code that was first sent to you.

If I redeemed my code for my ‘Death Magnetic” CD on or before September 8th, do I have to upgrade my shipping to receive it on street date?

No. If you redeemed your code on or before SEPTEMBER 8th, you should receive your ‘Death Magnetic’ CD on the STREET DATE (9/12).

If I redeemed my code for my ‘Death Magnetic’ CD AFTER September 8th do I have to upgrade my shipping to receive it on Sept 12th?

Yes. Any orders placed AFTER SEPTEMBER 8th must be upgraded to OVERNIGHT DELIEVERY during the check out process for your CD REDEMPTION in order to receive your CD on September 12th .

Will I receive the Digipak case or the jewel case Death Magnetic CD?

The first 300,000 orders shipped will be in the ‘Death Magnetic’ Digipak case. All subsequent shipments will be in the ‘Death Magnetic’ jewel case.

Who do I contact if I do not receive my ‘Death Magnetic’ CD by street date and have redeemed my code by September 8th (or redeemed and selected upgraded shipping by September 8th)?
